furnace oil filter

Can a filter from an oil furnace or burner be used along with the lister's filter be used?Also can home heating fuel be used safely with the great listeroids?Newbie, lip5er4

Hi
Years ago when I worked on oil furnaces I had to flush the lines after I installed the felt type filters, especilly for the smaller nozzles. I would use the furnace filter as a prefilter before the lister snake filter.

Som small particles seemed to be in the discharge from the filter after a change.

Flip thecoin the other way I know a lot of fellows who burn waste fuel in home furnaces...

my GTC 10/1 came with felt filter, and my main ship engine uses felt filters - bottom line is that they work.
