Hey Speedy.

I just bought a 6/1 from Sam Crosby in Main (207-371-2521). Look for his 6/1 metro engines on E bay.

I am very happy with mine! I have yet to buy a house so I can put it to use in an off grid setup. I have 7 new C&D tech DCS100L 100Amp Hr AGM battery's so far and a few solar panels. 8)

I moved to Tucson, AZ 2 1/2 years ago but I grew up in Waterloo, IA. Drop me a line for any ????'s you may have.

I am a mechanic for a rental company. (Diesel powered equipment generators, light towers, air compressors)  Before that I was an aircraft mechanic for 8 years so I have had a hand in everything.

Be careful there is a Listeroid disease for witch there is no known cure! I'm afraid you have been bitten already ;D

Buy a house to put your engine to work? Now that is what I call dedicated.

Right now I rent a room in a house. Need to buy one here in the near future. ::)

My roommate asked " Why would you spend $1300 on an "old" engine when you don't have a house"

My reply?  "Why not"  My girlfriend has a 700amp hr battery bank on her front patio at her apartment along with a full sign wave inverter and a Bogart engineering battery monitor for testing ;D

There is a diesel engine, a deep cycle battery and a 140amp alternator sitting on a cart next to her couch(I ran out of room in my garage :P) and never once has she said that it bugs her. What a woman! ;D

I once had a girlfriend who was buisy working through the week, but weekends were ours. I woulod ask her if she wanted to pend the weekend there at the house or on the boat. Most weekends she chose the boat. When we got aboard the boat I asked her what she wanted to do over the weekend. More often than not she would say, lets work on the boat, I will start with the bilges. needless to say, I proposed to her every weekend, and every weekend she would say ... When pigs fly.
