Help finding video of antique generator...
« on: December 10, 2006, 12:22:06 PM »

Not long ago, I found a link on thise site to a video clip of a large, horizontal engine/generator.  It was setup in a museum-like setting and was quite big.  The single piston appeared to be about 24 inches in diameter.  It had an exposed connecting rod and piston skirt.  An operator started it up and it ran with a graceful, rhythmic timing.

I can't find that link anymore.  Can someone help me?  Also, if anyone knows of similar engines/generators that I could see videos of (or possibly even visit) that would be real cool.

Thanks

Ray

Ray,
I think you are referring to the "Tangye" engine on video at the "Museum of Fire" in Wales, Uk. Try a google for image, or video for Tangye...and it might pop up. Good luck binnie
