Bruce,

I haven't had a chance this weekend as I have spent the time nursing an ol' girl (1951 6hp Lister) back to full health - see other post in Original Listers strand.

I have learnt all about leaking valves and sticking fuel pump delivery valves in the process, but the good news is that I got it to run again after perhaps 20 years out of service, with a little air intake pre-heat from a propane torch.

I now have two working engines and a spare injector to work on, so I will try the tests on veg oil at 190F at the earlierst possible opportunity.

BTW, I tried the same injector on diesel at around 40F and got a 4 foot spray and the characteristic creaking noise.  I did not hear the creaking noise with the veg-oil, but will try again.
