Listeroid blueprinting information
« on: January 07, 2006, 03:40:11 AM »
I have received my Lister engines 2 ea 20/1 and a 6/1. I took the twins apart for cleaning and modification. My goal is to achieve original Brit life and quality. I could use some detailed specificatioins on engine design specs. I am looking for the engineering data and design (machine to) specifications.

Obviously, the lack of such data is not a show stopper, however, having it could be quite helpful.

Do any of you have that data?

Thanks,

Chris

All I know about blueprinting is that if you can see daylight thru the gap between the connecting rod and the bushing, youy have too much clearance. It will still run, although the piston may hit the exhaust valve etc...get a horse.

I've heard that a really loose fitting bushing like this can be staked by a small barefoot boy with a big hammer, to keep it in place long enough to export it.

Hope this helps.

Chris, you really cranked a few of them up.... "Limpstick on pigs" wow and accurate to.  I wonder of I should mention that I also intend to balance and blueprint several components just to see if 30 to 40 years from now if I can leave the engine to my grandchildren. Everybody needs a hobbie.
