"JAY" coolant pumps

Have any of you guys taken apart the JAY pumps that some GM-90 and Petter engines use apart?

How do you get the shaft out of the housing? Press it out the impeller side or is there something I'm missing before I use the arbor press on it.

From all outward signs these look like a hell of a nice simple pump.....
