kill-a-watt meter from who,what,when where?
« on: September 29, 2006, 07:55:54 PM »
I must be doing something wrong. Searches for the kill-a-watt meters occassionally seen on this site all show instead just the little 15A U-Ground P-4400 or something gizmo.
Could somebody please post a link or something for factory data and dealers of these meters please?

The P4400 is the only model that I know of.

That's just the little rinky dinky 120V u-ground kill-a-watt meter.
What I'm thinking of is the wall mounted box that shows current, volts and frequency on standard analog gauges. These units will handle a 15kva gen set's output.

About one minute with Google.

If that's what you want I would just get some panel meters and mount them in a box.

Thanks, that's what I was prety much looking for. I had tried my previous searches with kill-a-watt always in the text.
The eum-2000 etc looks like it should work.
A look through the Electrosonic cataloge did show an abundance or 0-120V and 0-5 amp meters plus the appropriate CT's and PT's, frequency meters and KW hr meters. The cost of each little part was going to add up beyond a factory built data unit.
