Newbie here;

Back in the late 1970's early 80's my father was one of a team of volunteers who restored and renovated 2 James Watt beam engines at Papplewick Pumping Station, Nottinghamshire.
As a young teenager at the time my job on open days along with other similar aged boys was to look after and run the small static engines down by the cooling lake, one such engine and in particular my favourite was a D type Lister.

Now 48 years later I've bought not one but two D type Lister engines the first of which I collect tomorrow.

From what I can tell from it's engine number it was built in early 1939.

I will post photos once I recovered from the excitement of getting my hands on a Lister after so many years.
