Hi. New to the forum as I've just got my first freestanding Petters I'm trying to find a little bit of provenance on it.
I've just picked up what I thought was a standard A1 engine but having started to strip it I'm struggling to work out a date or exact model.
So far, I have a brass plate on the engine itself stating the TYPE is an AS and NO. 347950 on a 3HP 1500 RPM.
There's then a brass plate on the Magneto "WICO TYPE A860B2 SERIAL NO E167418.
On the flywheel I have raised figures G7387
On the cast casing I have raised figures 104503U ... the 5 is possibly a 6 or 8. The 3 is possible a 5 or 8.
I've searched the information I can and can't find anything that matches to give me an idea of either a rough year of manufacture or what the AS type is.
Anyone out there got any knowledge or suggestions where I can go for a bit more info?
I tried to add some pictures, but tech is not my strong point! 😂😂
