General Discussion / Re: Bl**dy copper!
« on: August 27, 2009, 01:25:35 AM »
the shark bite fitting work/  a lot of people are using them/ time will tell/ I am glad every one has a solution to the problem/ joining two pieces of metal together can create a lot of different solutions. so if it works ,use it.most of us have joined hundreds of joints together/as Bob said/ jam some bread in the pipe to dry it out and then solder it/that works. cleaning and flux and proper heat application are critical/ copper to copper is easy/ copper to steel.a little more is involved.I use a torch for most of my soldering but this is the top of the line//http://www.americanbeautytools.com/site/index.php?req=home&sub=videos&vid=1/if you can ever find one, buy it/ I found mine on ebay for a little over $100.00/it has been worth it/I know that one is almost over kill but never bring a knife to a gun fight/sid

it is hard to explain the beliefs of a southern redneck/ I am one of the few left.my opinion of bombers, cowards, and men that wear a skirts is different from most people. I do not think a person who kills innocent people has any rights.....they have lost their rights/sid

I still have 2 left/ both are lg gear and are pretty good engines/ I got rid of the petter from hell/ I finally tamed it a little. it now runs  but I would never trust it// also i would never start any petter with the air cleaner on it..and a good wrench in the back pocket to loosen the injector line/the petter could be a good engine but it has earned a well deserved reputation for runing away and falling apart, leaking etc.the petter has a higher run rpm/ I think the lister is easier to start.sid
