Generators / Thats it...got to get electric/Assisted start

Somehow I lost prim on my Roid and the power failure came and I was without out power
In the dark I did a prime check, and sure enough I had lost prime, so I re primed the system... even took out the injector.. it had a lot of Carbon on it, so I guess I need to put a larger load on the unit...
Still buy the time I got her primed I was exhausted as was my 17 year old son from hand cranking
Bought an old water pump today to use it to start up the Roid... 1/4 hp is not big enough LOL
Hand starting has lost its appeal in the dark and cold... must find a new way to start the beast so the wife can do it

OK was at Home Hardware today and they have this comprsssor onsale for..$100 because the nail gun is missing from the package.
Would it be any good for a light duty user like me that might use a nail gun and the odd power tool for small jobs

Well Good old Ontario Power is out again... and its cold, and snowing out. Once again people in my neighbourhood have no heat, water or ability to sump pump their basement
Besty turned over first crank this morning, lights are on, making coffee, typing on the internet, oh yeah, will be out in the hot hub in a few minutes... just because
its about -2 C right now, with a light to med falling of snow... so pretty... and the sound of the Roid is most pleasent on the ear... now if I can get my wife out of bed and off to the shops for a few hours... maybe some hot sexy girls will want to see my roid

Everything else / Swap out 240 for 120. Any issues?

I have a chance to pick up an old Air compressor that has a blown electric motor... that feeds by belt the compressor.
Compressor and tank are good, motor was a 240v unit that died when the faulty switch shorted

How much of a problem would it be to swap out the 240 v motor with a 120v replacement.
It will be used for light duty around the house, not running a body shop or anything... although this is where this unit is coming from
guy wants 100 to take it.... any ideas?

We have been really getting hit with spam of late, with 90% coming from @gmail.com addys. So I banned them, and we have dropped to 5 new users / day vers 30-50... and the site started getting faster. Cant say they are related... but...

Listeroid Engines / URRRHHHH Air leak in the fuel system

Well I went to start up the Listeroid today.... started to get some smoke ... then nothing
Had to bleed the system, and sure and hell she started right up.
The drain screw under the fuel filter is the source of the leak.... I tried to screw it tight... still leaks, put some thread tightner in.. still leaks...
so for now... until it get warmer!!!!.. I will place a pail under to catch the fuel, and run it once a week to keep it charged... have not run it in two months
DAMN you ontario Hydro, I need a power outage!!!!
Any suggestions on how to plug this leak... I know dump the indian fuel filter...lol ... its coming
