General Discussion / The Future for LEF
« on: January 24, 2011, 12:01:25 PM »
First I would like to thank the ADMIN for providing us a place to come and talk about these engines.  What ever his original thoughts where, the forum has grown and become a community or family.  I would like to publicly thank Troy for bringing us together

As of yesterday, I have moved to secure the the site for the future.  You will have an interruption over the next few weeks as we migrate the site to larger servers with commercial hot spares and back up.  We will also we upgrading the software and adding some anti spamming bits to keep the bots at bay.  My plan will be to post here that the interruption is coming so that withdrawals will be minimized

I am also looking at how to improve the site and what needs to be done to grow the family and our knowledge base, and improve by reducing the workload on one to spreading it around so that a failure can be addressed quickly and with the least amount of fuss.

Cheers

Andrew

Petteroids / 6 HP Petter for $200
« on: August 27, 2010, 02:44:47 AM »
I have an opportunity to pick up a spare AC1 that was to be used if a pump motor died... not put in service.  I can get it for $200.... should I bother?  Petters are not my thing.   It has Electric Start... might make a nice backup for the Listeroid.

Description:

- Model: AC1

Listeroid Engines / Moved my Listeroid to the new home
« on: June 28, 2010, 01:22:02 AM »
Well I have sold the old home, and have moved the Listeroid to the new place.  Today I bolted her to the floor... she is not a walker so that was easy.  Then I ran the electrical output to the panel... I can power the house or just the garage (for testing)

Now I have to hook up the muffler... I am going to use some Galvanized pipe right outside the  wall and outside the garage. -  pick that up tomorrow will costs $15.00 I was going to put a truck muffler, but might just use the stock muffler outside.

Hooked up the cooling system.  And I could not resist, I had to start her up....  First try, been sitting for nearly 4 months!!... but OMG is it loud without the muffler and it smoked me out of my garage... pictures to follow

The new locations allows me access to both sides of the unit

General Discussion / Registration problems
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:15:41 PM »
We are still getting a ton of new BOT registrations, and unfortunately some real people are not able to register

So some hints to get an account:

Dont come up with some cryptic user name or use a cryptic email supplier - I think they are spam
Dont use gmail, they are still the number once source of SPAM

If you are having issues contact me - my email is listed here and I will walk you through and make sure you get in

I am looking at other ways to help automate and screen out bots from real people but right now its mannual and I get about 50 new registrations a day... one or two of which are real

Cheers

General Discussion / Climate Warming a hoax?
« on: November 25, 2009, 03:27:08 AM »
Breaking news is that leading Climate experts worked together to put forward a myth of man made climate change

Some of the other ALLEGED issues raised by the ALLEGED documents ALLEGEDLY include

ALLEGED efforts to get sceptical academics removed from post.
ALLEGED efforts to stop critical journals getting published
ALLEGED admissions that there is a static/cooling trend that ALLEGEDLY can't be explained by the current models – amusingly, that's ALLEGEDLY a problem with the data, not the models....ALLEGEDLY, it's a travesty!
ALLEGED breaches of Freedom of Information legislation.
ALLEGED attempts to get another BBC journalist to bring Paul to task for writing the “whatever happened to Global Warming” piece...
ALLEGED discussions about changing the Sea Surface temperature record to make an unfortunate warm even in the 1940s go away.

Amidst other stuff.....

Guys I am shocked I tell you... shocked
