General Discussion / Re: EPA
« on: January 08, 2007, 04:26:12 AM »
Could someone point me to the actual rules?  Or are they copyrighted like the NEC?
I want to take a look at them and try to figure out where bio-diesel, WVO, and SVO will all fit in.

I don't think there are any rules on gas turbines.  A home built turbine generator/outdoor-boiler, that burns soggy wood, grease, old tires, cow patties (i.e. ANYTHING) that could ruin the O3 layer in a single week. Just to protest ;D

CO2 fire extinguisher plumbed into the intake manifold.

As long as the thing spins down in time before the CO2 runs out...... :D

If you got real clever,  Feeding the exhust back to the intake?
Free, plentiful CO2

Someone had mentioned that a fuel cut off would take too long, Ive never shut the fuel off to a running diesel, but without a float bowl, I would think it would be quick.

Good question, anyone have a fuel rack stick on a listeroid??
Saw it happen on a bulldozer last summer, sickening to watch a diesel over-rev to death.

I plan on some second shutdown device, and maybe some guards.

Let me quote something i stole out of a product manual.

Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual
cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be under-
stood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be
built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

I guess the harbor freight deal is pretty good, as long a the power co likes it.
Then i have to install it. Where do i get those insulated gloves?
I'm afraid if the service guy sees my wiring i will have real trouble.

Hello all, finaly got my 16/1 ordered and i'm starting to get everything ready, I'm waiting for a answer about code here on needing 2 or 3 poles on the tranfer switch.
Any word on the harbor freight model DT224URK-NPS and adding a pole?
Anyway just for humor check out these people.

Let me think new car or disconnect switch. Or maybe just cut the power pole down when a disconnect is needed.
Anyone been thru getting a device UL approved? I'm in the wrong business
