Listeroid Engines / Re: Powerline 24-2 and Genhead for sale
« on: March 19, 2022, 03:11:40 PM »
It's been sitting in a shed untouched for about 10 years. I was going to pull the heads to inspect and oil the rings before I turn it but I no longer have a torque wrench to torque them back down.

I'm located about 30 miles south it Houston

What a potty mouth, I'm glad I missed it all.

This is the first I saw this...

Would someone please quote the offending message as I'm much too busy to do a search?
Same here, I have been away for some time and hate missing out on entertaining drama. I tried a search but couldn't find anything.

I truly miss Spencer, Guy not so much but he was quite knowledgeable and added valuable input.

I figure it doesnt take long to save enough money on the fuel to replace parts worn by the use of WMO.

Agreed. I have the spares sitting on the shelf waiting for the day. I just wanted the new guy to be aware of others research results. I can't handle another Steward, Stuart, or whatever his name was   ::)

Diesel fuel at current prices does not make it feasible for of grid, but WMO does .
I'm suprised nobody commented on this. IIRC running untreated WMO has its downside.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
Not to sound insensitive but WHEN I go that's the way I want to do it, in my sleep.

Oh your in ttrruuuubbbllleee!!! A trip to the principal's office is in order  :o
I did notice that a few files were thicker than others. I wonder who's name is on them?

Seriously though, the words Willem and OSL have been just words to me for many years. But now that they have risen to a more personal level, getting to know the person behind them, I personally feel that it's time to throttle back on the bashing. It has become obvious that he is just one guy out there trying to do his thing. Even though he see's things related to the world of mechanics and physics differently than most he is entitled to voicing his opinion's and idea's. We all better understand his position now. He has not been slandered! The truth is not slander. Have comments made on this and other forums effect his business? I don't know that answer. But I do know that I can contradict many comments he made on his video's and I'm the most mechanically inept member on this forum.

Reading through this thread and other related thread's has made me realize this is not the purpose of this and like forum's. I do not know Willem. I spoke with him a few times in 2005 while searching for an engine and almost fell victim during that process. Fortunate for me he didn't have an engine at the time. Thank You Joel for having what I was looking for.

Let's play nice and show some compassion. I'm not saying apologize, just play nice.

It was suggested to google OSL so I did. I found this interesting project using one of his engines in 2007.

Quite an admirable goal trying to impove the lives of so many. I would love to know more on the outcome of this system if anyone knows. The organization has recent posts on their website, indicating they are still active but no information available related to this power platform. Did it ever get online and put in operation as envisioned?

It is a bad year for ranchers down here. My pasture is gone. Price of hay has gone through the roof with the drought and no end in sight. Good luck with your sale. I would be at your gate with my trailer as fast as I could but I couldn't go home afterwards. That 'look what followed me home' line only works so many times. :(
