Thank you. I'll check to see if I have the oil gallery plug you mentioned. If so it should be easy enough to add a oil pressure gauge and switch.

Engines / Lister SR1 oil filter conversion

Hi folks,
Has anyone converted a older model SR1 to use a spin-on oil filter, rather then the original cartridge filter? I'd quite like to make the upgrade if parts are obtainable. Ideally I would also add an oil pressure gauge and switch to enable a warning buzzer on low oil pressure. Mine is running a 3kVA generator with electric start so a warning buzzer or even auto shutdown should be easy enough to arrange I think, with the addition of a suitable fuel shut-off solenoid.
I'd welcome your thoughts and advice.

Lister Based Generators / Brush Alternator Connection Diagram?

Hello,
Having recently acquired a SR1 generating set with a Brush 3kVA alternator, I wonder if anyone might have a copy of the alternator connection diagram? I believe it is titled "Connecting diagram of Brush Electrical Engineering Co Ltd type 'SCA' alternator; drawing number ED11449".
I do have a copy of the Lister instruction book and parts list for AC generating sets LR1, SR1, Sr2 and SR3, which is very informative, however this particular drawing is not included, although it is referenced.
I would be very grateful for any information.
