Listeroid Engines / Jp3 inspection !!!
« on: April 21, 2019, 07:16:16 AM »
Hi all slowly getting it to bits .  It's looking much better .. but
I have found a loose crankshaft timing gear . I did not want to take out the crankshaft but it looks like it will have to come out to fix the timing gear I suspect it will have a worn out key . Not looking forward to getting it out . I only have one shoulder that works properly .  I am thinking of remove flywheel and putting it on it's end and pulling out the crankshaft with the forklift . It's big and ugly .  What do you think about this .

I don't think they are plated . So I assume that there are different rings to go with them. Something to look into ... Hard bore soft rings. Soft bore hard rings .. thanks to all .

Hi all anyone know the difference in liners from a cs and a jp
I can get cs liners. But not had any luck getting some for the jp . It's getting cleaner .. have the heads off . The liners might go again . There is lots of carbon . So much the valves are not seating . The ports are full .. not sure why . Time will tell
