Original Lister Cs Engines / Re: Resurrection of a Lister 12/2

Hi Everyone

Just passing by to show some improvements:

Do you recognize this GRYPHON? Lets turn to the Lister again...

Passing taps to tune threads.

Block bottom has a coat of alu paint primary.

And it has a very specialized four hands crane with NASA's made design lift bar, and a custom trolley.

Do you remember of my hunting cat, instead of a dog?

Cheers

Have a nice day.

Hi John

Congretulations for that nice engine. It has any starting handle?

It's a good practice to know stationary engine got it's original "starting key".

Hi Everyone

Just passing by to show flywheels and pulley, painted and preserved for the next stage of assembly.

The rims and pulley face have been varnished and are gorgeous.

After a few vacation days...

It's summer, enjoy the sun and have a fresh drink. And pay attention to the short stick...

I have some magnets collected from loud speakers. Anyone intersted?

Have a sunny day.

Listeroid Engines / Re: compression/gasket/something = not firing up

Hi Tyssniffen

This head gasket is a little strange for this cylinder. It is plugging the cooling channels of the cylinder.

Is that really so? Or are you putting a 6-bolt head gasket into a 4-bolt cylinder?

The torque wrench is extremely important, as said by Glort.

Hi Everyone

As promised, I made 2 videos (the cameraman is amateur, but the intention is that it counts).

I had already tested it once, but it knocked a bit, so I added a paper shim (I do not have steel ones) of 20/100.

In the first video I forgot to open the fuel cock, and it starved: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jJCQIi17ujkIfuUqhE51UvSfqdjhDiMB/view?usp=sharing

but in the second video as you see it is softer: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JwQe7dYk_enDMLN2t6SFZbftOpz-fpHg/view?usp=sharing

The injection point is more finely tuned, and this can be seen forcing it to rotate at very low speed, without stopping

Thanks for all support

Hi Butch
