Petteroids / Re: PETTER - PAZ1 - genHead collected - Winpower
« on: September 13, 2019, 02:52:23 PM »
Hi All

updating: just received age of the gen head from WINCO (Bob Baron, Service Technician) saying: "The serial number said it was made in 1973 and that was the model.  Other than there is no data available."

Not bad so far...
VP

PS: He says the model is BM2B2-B, but I think it will be a earlier  model, like 2nd pic, a FM model.

Hi Bob

You are indeed a handyman. I'm light years from you. This only shows you have had a hard life, but overcome everything.

My last improvements, were search deep int the net to get every info available.

I'm writing to WINCO (USA), that acquired WINPOWER (quote), but documentation lost (as always, because nobody look at it as a asset).

As you can see in pics my stator winding are shorted, dispite showing resistence.

Next days will give a visit to a winding shop nearby.

I'll keep posting some news.

Stay safe

Hi guys

Do not be afraid. I have already noticed that Butch had been hurted by some attitudes that some have had with him.

One cannot always be contradicting everything and everyone. We each have their own point of view and experience ... in different corners of the world.

And each case is a case.

Did the LEF get poorer with Butch's slaming the door? Of course it did!

Just my thoughts.

Have a safe day.

Hi Bob

Butch give also a hand, and he says the unit seem like a WINPOWER, and searching further I conclude for his opinion.

This unit have several hours of work - says seller - and is 220V, or 2*110, because wires of stator are connected serial.

It was direct connected to a Hatz engine, hand I think it will be a 3000rpm.

Lets see how it goes.

Cheers

Hello everyone

Today I met a collector. Oh my! but a serious man and therefore a good man.

On a hill, 30 km from me. I saw a genhead advertised on the internet, and it says it doesn't work.

I got there to have a look. He said the windings were deteriorated.

It seemed good mechanically, and I discussed the price with him (practically scrap price), accepted it, and already dismantled it.

Check out the photos I need help with identifying it (the character plate has no letters on it).

I need help here on everything, please.

Cheers

I think this is american plugs!

Anyone can identify the brand by the latch characters?

Engines / Re: tl2 piston
« on: September 08, 2019, 05:01:11 PM »
Hi Chefiam1

I suspect TL is a ListerPetter engine, is that correct?

Just give a good clean to the piston, and make new pics. After that place measures to compare to factory specs.

After that it's easier to make opinion.

Hi Bob and All members

I do not want to discuss academic graduations, which would be very bad among you, because our diuscussion here - the original one - are really old engines.

I think I am one of the youngest in LEF, but I must respect the "gerontics" that "now" in there retirement will have more time to devote to these things.

I can, and should, help you with whatever you need to do within my power.

Just take a look at the Peter & Rita Forbes website. Do they have a computer engineer to handle the site?

I think I made my point.

Cheers

Hi All

IMMO, manuals must be available just for members - that is sharing info - forget anything related to money. Don't bring issues to the forum.

This could be the LEF library - linked to the cloud, uploaded on request, downloaded at will.

PDF? off course... what else!

Have a suuny day

Updating!

Trolly axle of the 416 is getting shape, and, finally, tap and fuel line of the 425 was placed.

Next, trolleys for both.

Have a nice weekend.

Hi AdeV

I think you let yourself sleep, and now you're waking up grumpy.

The children grew up uneducated, and now you want to kick them?

Around here is a saying: "dogs bark and caravan goes by"

You don't happen to have the LR1 manual out there, do you? if you have, send it to me in PDF, with the thanks in advance.

Always considering you.
