Hi Willw

Thanks for reply. tell me if they have to be unscrewed.

And for the comunity please give opinion of my drowing about CAV fuel pump. I dig a lot, but not find good info for reassemble.

This is a 12/2, so I toke more attention tearing apart the second one. and making my notes.

All the best.

Greatings to all

Hope is the last one to die!

Take a few turns of rope on the engine polie and pull, it's work for our little kids.

But it is at this stage that everything begins. Of course it will not be easy at age 40 to turn valves in there seat, and cut them to the correct clerance, when we did not see how it was when we were 10 years old,  with those guys with the cigarette at the corner of his mouth, and the engine head in his lap - and iron patience - turning and turning the valves with the suction cup.

The engine does not work just because we want it, it has to work because we know perfectly well how it has to work.

Good work to all, and a nice week.

One last question for the community:

Should not the valve tappet guides, and the valves tappets, have left?
The bottom of the tappets does not pass in the hole where the guide rests.

Enlight me, please.

Greetings my good fellows

Today (at this time I mean yesterday - again) was one day of the days (2*110miles).

Strip it down has begin!!!

after soaking for a few weeks.

Create some space in the shack ...

Exhaust pipes off, manifolds off, line fuel off, fuel tank off, decompressor levers off, rockers off, push roods off, governor connetings off (a few), fuel pumps off, and fuel pumps cleaning (a few minutes a go).

Next: figure out a way to get it home...

Best regards to all, and please be happy

Long exaust pipes are all ready off, fuel line and tank too.

To do list: manage some way to get it out of shed, seat it on a trolley and strip it down.

Best regards to all, and please be happy

Hi  Willw

By now it's only to make it pretty. After i'll figure something to it to run.

This afternoon I changed the oil - there was some sludge in the bottom of sump.

3 lts (metric conversion) of good mineral oil and it runs smoother.

I want to strip it down, but i need the workshop manual. I all ready ask help with this task.

Please, if you have it in pdf format, send it.

Best regards
Pedrosa

At some point I realized that transpiration wasn't enough to fulfil the task, therefore I took a break to inspiration (see foto). Please note the important is that I cannibalized my 10 year ago hidrolizer project, because it has the BSP right to fit the injection pump.
Fell free to watch the video.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dhZgPIi0LQkGf44bzjQNN_2lnCSRJu4g/view?usp=sharing

See you later.

Petteroids / PETTER - PAZ1 - New project
« on: August 16, 2018, 12:51:38 AM »
Greetings my good fellows

I'm starting this new  thread here because I did not find another more precise to make known the progress of this new project.

I took this afternoon to see if my "new" PAZ1 could be resurrected.

The bad news: fuel tank with a huge hole.

To do: disassemble the fuel line; improvise a temporary line (see photo - final version); bleed (+320 crank turns) the bubbles never stopped ... and finally it is alive.
Next step: disassembly, sandblasting, straightening plates, primer and paint.

Difficulties today: lack of English spanners. Once more improvising.

I'll post the project advance.

Best regards to all
Pedrosa
