Petteroids / Adding a Petter A1 to collection - FEIRIARTE show
« on: July 14, 2026, 02:22:44 PM »
Gentles

THe A1 got place at 1st time at XXXII FEIRIARTE fair of handcraft a economical activities.

Many questions were asked about the two engines—some from a more informed perspective, others more naive!

But all were answered with technical expertise. This was especially true regarding the A1, as its portfolio includes a copy of the factory record.

Some pics to showoff.

Gentles,

Fortunately, I managed to get the metal (50mm across flats) to produce some decent caps for the tanks.

My neighbor, a machinist, took care of shaping them properly.

Did they end up being expensive? Sure, they did—but this is something else entirely!

Some pics to the show.

As has become the custom, these pearls have been displayed at my village's annual fair—FEIRIARTE. The PAZ1 demonstrated that it withstood the aftermath of Storm Kristin, and A1 made its exhibition debut.

PAZ1 was given a display panel demonstrating that it was an essential engine for maintaining a minimum quality of life for three weeks.

Hi Alex,

Didnt realize it drip so much when running! Yes, take care of that IP, in order to put same power at both cylinders - one is running cold.

That is not a huge issue. Just turn off the fuel tap.

And if it leak just a few drops, or need to prime after seat long time it will be a standard procedure.

That engine has its age - with natural ware - so act like it demands.

I think you could add another water pump, either to be redundant or to double flow rate.

By far the ute cam belt is  more needed now.

My 5 centes, and keep the good work.

Gentles,

Im back... again!

Long story short: from 28jan till 21feb no grid power... and only yesterday phone line and internet came alive again.

Got to fetch the PAZ1 with geny from down town up to village. It end up to make almost daily 12+ hours of energy.

Its logbook states 217h, and it goes for overhauling. It needs new cylinder shim, and new gasket at time gear case.

Some pics and a vid [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RDUCIRZ-U1jiIOY2lxdU3Gn_u9MuQDQZ/view?usp=sharing] will show better than words.

Gentles,

Got to partial agree with all of you.

My five cents are:

Hugh - You are right! made with #1 a turn arround (1200km) to north of country, last week, and put in back seat of ute 223L (200 red, 18 special green rosé - espadal, and 5 of generous [you call it Porto];

Butch: Yes FB sucks! And nobody answer your questions there. In the FB you only get the foam of the day... or week. And lot of BS (in your slang). This LEF got the virtue to have knowledge along times, and that cant be beated. And you can put questions and be answered.

My good fellows, now I got about 60 to 70 tons of pine to pile, because everything is on ground, broken or tiped, and contrators only want to pay 35€/ton. It will be 10 years for next crop of wood. Ah... and a new shed to tractor... and more 2 roofs to repair... and my fathers ROVER 214 to repair too.

As soon as I can Ill put some pics here, and in my threads.

Power grid was off from 28jan to 21fev. And no fiber yet. The Petter PAZ1 made 217h of power.

Stay safe, and dont forget to rush to the nearest fuel station. Tomorrow more 22 cents/L in diesel, because Iran is burning...

Gentles,

The A1 is done (well, only fancy fuel caps are missing).

A few pics to the enthusiasts.

Merry Christmas to all.

Gentles,

In order to make a decent fuel line from tank to filter ordered (from china, off course!) some 6mm copper tube with 1,5mm thickness.

2 brass welding and voilá!

Raising the fuel tank ends up to be a very nice fit.

A pair of pics to the show.

Gentles,

All afternoon straightening, hammering and bending fuel tank bracket with jig.

make two extensions to the bracket and voilá! Now repaint all it again.

Now the fuel tank will be on it place.

A few pics to the show.
