All other parts (barring the cowling, which make it a VA and not a CS) are the same as a CS.
Not quite
The crankcase on a VA has a different stud configuration for the cylinder barrel and cylinder head, the VA has 5 x 5/8" BSW studs compared to the 4 x 3/4" BSW studs for the CS
Also the rocker pedestals differ, in that there are two pedestals on a VA, verses one for a CS.
Everyone must agree dieselman has somehow manifested an "extraordinary event". He is the hero in this "ill conceived mess".
What I'm trying to do is facilitate an honorable end to it. Times change and stuff happens in even the best planned lives. Adjusting and moving on is going to happen whether we actively participate or not.
Some people use humor to facilitate a process. Some people use shaming to facilitate a process. Some people use anxiety to facilitate a process. I'm attempting to use "the carrot" to facilitate this process. I'm sure I've missed other important motivational methods but what we are all after is getting this journey completed. I too would be tempted to set an auction date and whack the procrastinators that are making this process difficult to complete. But then I don't have the drive, determination, compassion and talent to get these containers out of the UK and to Kansas. Perhaps someone could draw up a form letter that releases a persons commitment, any profits after expenses and addressing the goodwill they must feel towards Gary.
I've always found ending a project is far more difficult that beginning one. But end; they do. And feel better; I do.

Jimboz.......... thanks for your question about chrome bore and the startomatic generator questions. Thanks everyone else for the great responses. I have one sitting out there waiting for its turn with my attention. The same questions would arise here, and now they are getting great answers.
I don't think these have been previously addressed with such detail. Nice photos too.
Cheers,
Hugh
