I have a similar system in my barn and use a greenhouse mat heaters under the batteries to keep them mildly warm. I believe they also make a mat just for batteries assuming you want to just keep those warm. If the inverter is a concern we use a heater strip at work in small control panels that only run 25-50 watts we install in small outdoor control panels for frost issues. Mount one below the inverter but I would concerned with making condensation there as well. The same can be done with a reptile heater ( I call them lizard heaters) found on flea bay and Amazon for cheap. They alast way longer than a light bulb and less likely to break since they're ceramic.
Are you installing a lister in the shed? Curious what base you would use for that beast.

Ran across this 8/1 Automann listeroid at a local flea market with trucks. Runs fine, only needs cooling and a ST generator head.  Never heard of an AutoMann but appears to be identical to my 8/1 Powerline Listeroid.

I have tried the cold start button, it works, stays up when I pull it up and open up the throttle and stays there (not spring loaded). Didn't work on the unit all week, my real job got in the way. Hopefully will take a stab at it this weekend. Thinking about bolting a 3 HP electric motor to it and letting it spin and spin while I try to get it to start. A little easier than the hand crank and the starter generator doesn't seem to like the repeated start attempts.

Suggest not to ever use a starter motor for long periods of time as they burn out. They are only dessigned for short pulses of power to start an engine in good usuable condition.
Can you adapt a 4" pulley off the PTO?

I don't use Ether at all, it is plenty warm out and not worth the risk of damage. I have about a 5" pulley on it now if I wish to belt it to a motor. So I'm questioning the amount of fuel getting to the cylinder. When I crank for a bit, and it comes off decompression, it's hard to crank of course. After I'm cranking, If I push down on a valve spring, the compression escapes so I believe that the rings are free.

It's 85 F here today but I even put a heat gun to the head and warmed it with no difference. It sometimes will only pop once or twice after de compression releases, sometimes nothing. Open to any suggestions what to look for.

 lLiFePo, batteries with the built in BMS are the way to go. Curious what brand you are using.  I acquired several Enerdel Lithium packs, same used in the "Think" car. Of course no BMS so I'm adding my own and hoping to build my own Power Wall with them.

I'm looking to build a similar system to work with my solar panel system as well. It looks like you are using the mppt75 charge controller from you single wire alternator, is that correct? Did you install a two conductor lug on your single terminal of your alternator?  When you integrate the solar system, I assume it will have it's own charge controller tied to the same set of batteries. Which Magnum inverter did you use?

Sorry for all the questions, kept pausing the video and tried to understand how it was all wired together.
