Generators / Re: Fuel pump timing
« on: February 26, 2023, 01:43:27 AM »
I would suggest you head over to a site called:
Steel Soldiers

Become a member, it's free. Look for the generator section....
Members will direct you to the proper manuals and advice.

I have a 803 and without the SS site I would be lost.
Most members are x military and well versed in these machines.
They know wbere to get parts as well.

Gary

PS...Don't be afraid to ask questions ! They are a very helpful group.

A spring loaded cloths pin works to hold up the lifters.

I think there is probibly an oil pressure switch and an oil presure sender.
The switch would be for the "safety" side and the sender is for the guage.
That's how my military gen set is set up.
I would try to determine which is which then hook up a manual guage to see if it is making good oil pressure.
If it is and it does have a switch and a sender you can jump out the switch to see if that resolves the problem.

Bob is correct....I would look at the oil pressure situation to see if it is a problem.
Those solenoids are usually 2 coils or and internal switch.....is it a 2 wire or 3 wire ?
2 wire will have the internal switch, 3 wire will be controled by the rest of the control system.

Your pic shows.some info on it. Have you tried to cross referance any of that on the net ?

Butch,
Do you think the parts problem will correct itself or will owners just be out ?

Your log splitter looks great. I always enjoyed building projects like that.
When I first saw the one picture with the side profile of the fuel tank I thought you had a TV screen mounted
on it. I thought what the he\\ is that ?.....Imagine my disapointment when I zoomed in on the picture and
realized it was the fuel tank !

No, the same young man bought both.
I hated to see them go but I did OK.
I had a lot of fun with the Listeroids and learned a lot.
My health is not looking good so I'm trying unload everything I can so the wife doesn't have to deal with it
in case things go south.
The funny thing is that I was planning on selling everything about this time so I could retire to my place
in Kentucky by the middle to end of the year. Life is funny ain't it.

I still have generators here so if I do need one I have several.
I may try to run some of them here. I do have a Changfa with a 15kw head. Someone should want
that.
Thanks for asking and stay safe !

I painted the inside of my crankcase when I got done.
I was warned the oil would seep through the crankcase.

I used white rustolium (?) and it has held up fine through the years.
It takes a while to dry but I was in no hurry and it was months before I reassembled it.
The white makes it easy to see inside.

Lister Market Place (things for Sale) / Metro 6/1 setup and ready to go

My Metro 6/1 with 7.5 ST head, frame, radiator with t controlled fan, temp gauge, custom fuel tank.
It has about 50 hours on it. It starts and runs perfect. Some of the paint has chipped off the engine but still looks good.  This one did not get torn down but did get a complete inspection before running.

Asking $2800.00 or OBO

I will have other listings in the next few days so look for them.

I am in Florida. I will not ship but will load. I  am selling my big tractor so I will only be able to load in the next few weeks.  If you want to ship all arrangements must be made on your end.
