I found a pretty nice setup it has a Chanfa type gen set with a Mecc alte spa generator head made in Italy. This name is unknown to me what dose any one know?

Dose anyone here have any expereance with buying a single engine from uk and having it shipped to the US ?
How hard and expensive would it be?

Looking to improve my wvo filtering. I'm wanting input on the best sock type filters and the best places and pricing to get these filters.
At present I am using old gas fryer to heat oil run through filter system for several minutes, then pumping oil out while still hot and filtering once more with paper cartridge  before going into barrel. Thinking of running through sock filter before final use.
 
Can sock filters be used while oil is still hot?

Is it a waste of to make a fuel cell and install on my truck? I have seen hho cells on YouTube and they claim to increase mileage by 20 to 60% . Dose anyone have expereance with this ? What were your results?

Hi all, I have contracted the Lister disease a couple of years ago with my first purchase from Gary of a 8/1. I have been having a lot of fun powering the construction project of our new house, but when I told my wife I would need something bigger to power her AC in the summer she reluctantly gave the ok and I bought my first Real lister an hr3 with 20 kw Lima power head. It's been cold so haven't had much time to work with it much. Then unexpectedly a 25/2 listeroid comes up on eBay and of course the wife says you don't need it you just got the other one a few weeks ago besides that you said if you buy the hr3 we would have all the power we need. To make a long story short I bought it anyway and boy was she pissed in 12 years of marriage I never saw her so mad it lasted for days and days. This may be my last engine I get for a few years or she may bury me with it lol .
Any way question ? Can you run a hr3 gen set using only 2 cylinders to save on fuel?

Ok I bought my listeroid 8/1 from Gary almost two years ago and  after putting the engine together and adding an st generator head.installed on my property and have used it daily to power everything to build my new house. I have been very pleased with my listeroid so far, starting on the coldest  days with ease . It has been run  from  five to eight hours per day on a mix of wvo and farm diesel  80% /20%  using very little fuel. The only problem is its so good on fuel I forget to check it.

I just bought a listeroid to build a gen set and have been looking around for ideas I came a cross a witte gen set.I am looking to find some info on them i know they were made in kc, but i dont know are they as good as a lister? are there parts to be had? are they easy to find? can they run on anything like the lister? what can you expect to pay? thanks to all!

Hi to all just wanted to introduce my self. my name is lee and i live in the ozarks. I just purchased a 8/1 listeroid from  gary at diesel electric. (he has been great help and i hope to buy from him again) I was wondering if their are any other lister owners in my area? this is my first lister and i have a feeling it won't be my last,but please dont tell my wife she wont forgive me for buying this one till i can save her money on electric bills. she says im pretty deep in the hole so i have a lot of saving to do.lol
