That looks quite similar to my Ningbo Tri-Circle engine.

Listeroid Engines / 6/1 Listeroid Kit Success
« on: February 05, 2011, 03:05:03 AM »
About 2 weeks ago, I purchased a 6/1 Indian Listeroid kit from Dieselgman. It only took a few days to arrive in Houston from Kansas City. I pulled the rod out and checked the clearance and it was .006, so I just put it back together. The only thing that I did to the crank bearings was to flush clear oil through them to remove the gunk, and I cleaned out the crankcase. It took me a couple of tries to get the piston clearance right. The lower oil ring ended up broken, as indicated by the chunk of it that I luckily spotted in the sump, so I had to tear it back down. The other issues that I had were the rocker arm alignment, and fuel tank plumbing. Gary (Dieselgman) was kind enough to send me a new oil ring, a couple of different rocker assy's, and some more plumbing items. I got it all together and fired it up today. As an extra challenge, today was the coldest day in years. Anyway, it fired up on the second try. Assisting was Ben (injin Man on Microcogen), who also bought one, but hasn't assembled his yet.

Listeroid Engines / Re: 6/1 head torque
« on: February 04, 2011, 11:46:43 PM »
I’ve got an Indian spec that states-Cylinder Head: 160 to 170 lb-ft (23 to 24 kg-m)
I think you may find that those figures are for 1" bolts/studs. Peter

My Indian Listeroid has 3 studs that hold the head to the jug, and 4 larger studs that are the head bolts. The nuts on my head studs take a 1-1/8" socket. I torqued them to 150 ft/lb.

I may be wrong (I often am), but I think the 4 stud head bolts on the indian 6/1 has a torque spec of 150 lbs.

This is what I thought, too.

...Where do you pay 39 cents a KWH?  Our record is 44 cents two years ago but we're currently on the rise and flirting with 35.

Yikes! I just contracted for .10 for 2 years (Texas).
