It is and has been working for me all through the transition, so, I'm guessing it is something on your end.

Gosh I hate being dense.

What's going on?  What are these people posting about?

Casey

You have never heard a drunk guy say "tank you" instead of "thank you" I guess, because that was what the post was about.  Well, maybe not being drunk, but that's when I have heard it before.

I am planning on getting one of these engines in the container shipment.  I live just outside of Victoria, Texas and plan on driving up to pick up the engine when it gets to Dodge City.  If anybody else along my route wants one, I will be willing to deliver yours on my way back home.  All I would ask for is a little gas money, not looking to make anything , just help me out and I will help you out.  Looks like my route would take me through Austin, Waco, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Oklahome City and on to Dodge City.

The original container shipment is the one I am referring to.  Not the one people will bid on.

Ok, here is some info and a copy of what the person doing these engines sent me about parts used in the rebuilding of these Listers.

"The answer is this. All the parts are genuine Lister, wherever possible. Some parts, such as castings, are no longer available but I have a stock of most of these. Other castings, such as cylinders, would have to come from India, it's the only place left. The SOM parts are not  actually available in India!
Contrary to popular belief, Lister didn't make all the parts for their units themselves. Fortunately some of their UK suppliers are still in business and I'm able to buy batches from them. Some parts I have to have specially made in the UK and France. Others, including gaskets, come from the far east, but they are good regular quality."

He also informed me that regulations apply to engines manufactured after 1986, so these that he does are good to go.  He includes paperwork to prove it also.

These are pics of the engines that a certain individual is rebuilding in the U.K.  I didn't ask if he is using genuine Lister parts, but these are genuine Lister blocks for sure.  I will find out about any parts being used.  I'm not getting the SOM, thses were just some pics to let everybody see the detail this individual puts into the engines as they are being rebuilt.  I am not 100% sure about the EPA regulations, but it is my understanding these are exempt because they can be classified as antique engines.

I have some pictures of a Lister SOM that is being restored.  If you want one, get with DRDEATH.  He is doing the container shippment. I tried to post them here, but I just haven't figured that out yet, so go to my gallery to view them.  It is under Derek Curlee.

I have some pictures in my gallery of an engine that is under restoration.  This is the type of quality that will be shipped.

I tried posting them here, just haven't figured out just yet.

Search Derek Curlee in the gallery to see the engine.

Lister Based Generators / Re: Mr Lister finally got his test

OK, just getting started here an want to have a good plan for when I get my engine.  I know Jet A is "dry" and can cause problems if it is used as the main fuel for other than turbine engines.

Would adding Diesel Kleen or Marvel Mystery Oil to Jet A be of help to keep a Lister running?  I have ample access to Jet A and plan on using that when I get a listeroid.  I'm on the waiting list with Gary and Diesel Electric for a "kit" engine.
