Listeroid Engines / Listeroid 6/1 power unit

We needed (wanted?) a power unit to use at our off-grid farm that we could use to power several differant machines. Decided to go the radiator route since a barrel of water gets darned heavy to lug around and expensive to equip with anti freeze. Sorry for the busy backgrounds in the pics, hard to find an uncluttered area in my shop. 
Our 6/1 DES power unit.
Radiator is from a John Deere LUC power unit. A little large for a single but should be about perfect for a twin. Chosen because it was designed for thermo syphon, meaning it has large water capacity above the upper hose and 4 row core. Plus they are both readily available and cheap. Adapters were turned to fit inside of the cast iron hose connections, tapped for 3/4 pipe and epoxied in place. Twisted v belt drive came to be via trial and error(lots of error) and may turn out to be not necessary due to the capacity of the radiator, time will tell.

Lister Market Place (things for Sale) / 6/1 Metro at auction in NY

For those out east looking for an Indian engine there is a Metro brand on this auction. Complete with an older looking gen head mounted on a steel wheeled cart. Takes a bit to load but keep scrolling down to a picture of it. Looks like a darned intersting auction to me.

Was an action Saturday in NY with a collection of English engines. I didn't attend but bid via Proxybid. I couldn't afford to own too many so I bid on a Ruston Hornsby and a Petter but didn't bid on this CS Lister because I allready own one. Ended up not getting the engines I bid on and missed the CS that only brought $900 
Oh well, maybe next time.

Friend has an Chinese ST-2 for sale and I told him I'd list it on the Forum for him. Unit has about 2 hours use. I pulled the band and it looks as new inside, copper wound, no pulley, still has original doghouse. Could use a coat of paint. Had it been just a smidge larger it would have been in my shop. Located in Central Ohio. Please PM me for contact info if you have interest. I can both pick it up and store it for a while if that helps anyone out. Asking $200
