This pump is mounted to the engine but normally it is nounted on a frame and ran from shaft. It could be bolted to any motor with a stub shaft. Send me an address and i will mail you some pictures and you can make your decision. Mike

Charles I wont be able to help you with the expertise but I bought a 3.5 hp lister with a trash pump I believe they call it and was wondering if you might be intrested in it. I cant really tell you the exact size since I have not got it yet. I should have it in the next 30 to 45 days. I would be glad to stick it in a box or I am making a trip up in that direction but not sure when exactly. Let me know. Mike Lisenby

One thing you might get buy with would pipe it through your sewer drain. Not the gray water or curb or some call it storm drain. Your sewer line go to the turd farm where it is processed and unless you have a really bad problem with your engine no one should know. The only thing is if you notice people working on the line don't start it because most of those lines do not operate under positive pressure. Yours would have pressure until it hit a larger area of the drain. Also you want to make DARN sure you exhaust is not hot. Sewer gas is highly explosive. Just food for thought. Mike

I picked up an engine in Burlington NC and will head N from there. If someone has something around there let me know and we can discuss price. I am just looking for something to help with gas. Eventually I will end up on the west coast. My trip to the west coast may not be as late as I planned. I will also be going to Huston sometime in April with a small load and could even bring something that may need to go North on my next trip in June.  Mike 620 339 5671

I will be traveling from Dodge City KS to the corner of New york, Vermont and Canada the first week of June. I will have a fairly heavy trailer which could haul several items. I will be hauling a bull to this area and I will drive straight through to deliver the bull then anything else I might have will deliver last. Trailer will be enclosed with removable sides. I am also working on a trip from Dodge to tip of southern Texas by way of Huston this spring. I will then return the same way. Charge will be just to help pay for gas. I can pick up something before I start this trip that may not be on the way. I can be contacted at 620 339 5671

Well I made a rotary converter. I found a good 30 hp 3 phase at junk yard. I use a 1/4 hp single phase as a pony motor to start big motor turning up to speed. So far everything looks good. I have less than 200 in whole system. I think that's pretty good considering I didn't know anything before I started. Mike

I may have found someone who might be intrested. He has a couple engines listed on eBay right now. I sent a second request to contact me if he would be intrested in being an agent. If I find someone I would hope there might be more than myself intrested in doing this. The more people the cheaper it would be for everyone. I would guess the port of delivery would depend on the where it would be closest for the majority of people. Mike

We still have a drive in theatre in dodge. It is a great way to take grandchildren to the movie. They can run around and no one cares. We just pack up a cooler take the lawn chairs and have a great time. It is 12 dollars a vehicle to get in. They always have double feature. Mike

I just read that the earthquake they had in Chilie caused the earth to shift some on its axis. I wonder what the scientist will have to say about that and the climate??? It said it will affect the length of the days. Just thought I would pass this along if someone didn't see that. Mike  ::) ::)

my idea was everyone look and figure out what looked good and buy their own engines. With buying the engines everyone would have to arrange to have the engines delivered to a holding area. Then depending on how many engines there were would determine the size of container we would need. It would take some work but it could work.

What I have found out today with over 2 hours on the phone just on this end is that the more our government regulates things the more it becomes almost impossible to do anything. Nedless to say it is very frustrating.

I suppose the biggest hurdle is that everyone would have to come to grips with trusting other people who we have never met. As for paying for shipping it would be tallied up by how much someone bought. This may just be a pipe dream which will never come true. It seems a shame when you look at eBay UK the jewels they have for sale and the price they go for, even with the difference in the value of our dollar.

I wish someone had done this before and had people over there that was trusted. I have a couple of people I have become friends with and would say I trust them but I am not sure I would recommend them to anyone else because one thing I have learned in my 50 plus years is no matter how good something is someone will complain. I don't want that on my plate. Then it would fall back on me that I was a crook. So it would have to be everyone makes their own deal.

I would transport to mid US Dodge City KS if that would make pick up easier for some people. This is still just a dream which may never happen.

General Discussion / lister engines from the UK
« on: March 02, 2010, 04:35:26 AM »
I have been visiting with a couple people from the UK and have been watching the eBay UK and see plenty of Lister engines. If I continue to search and get some sort of price of what it would cost to ship some engines would there be any intrest from anyone else in going to gether and getting enough to fill some sort of container. I could pick up the engines and move them to central US to make it easier for people to get them since the container would only be unloaded in one port. I am still in the informational stage. Any assistance in helping me with questions to ask would be helpful.  I do know of a moving company in the UK that would pick up the engines and take them to a central location for shipping. Mike

Things I want to Buy / Re: 03 Jetta TDI CYL Head Needed (ALH Engine Code)
« on: February 21, 2010, 09:43:20 PM »
Check over around Alanta Ga. I needed a pair of heads for a Taurus and it seemed impossible to find in central US other than used. I stumbled across a web site that had a large amount of engine parts that were rebuilt. It seems that when Catrina went through 1000 of vehicles were bought from insurance companies. The parts are rebuilt and shipping was free. I only gave 30 dollars extra over the price  the local junk yard was pricing theirs for. I cant remember the place but I found it so I would expect it wasn't hard to find. It was a great deal because the parts are guaranteed. Mike

I see we are on the subject of dust. The first time I had to have a chest X ray for a job I learned something. We always raised chickens growing up on a farm. The doctor that read the X ray asked if I had ever lived on a farm. When I told him yes he questioned if we had chickens. It seems that the manure of chickens in chicken coups becomes very fine. Then when you go in and clean out it odes become very dusty. These little dust particles settle in the lungs if you are not wearing a mask. At one time doctors thought it was TB until further test were done. So I suppose I am still running around with chicken s**t in my lungs. They ought be fertilized well. It hasn't seem to cause any other problems. I suppose the EPA could have protected me. "NOT" So everyone stay warm. It has not really been that warm here and today it isn't even close to warm.
