And with a bit of machining you can utilise JP liners.

Thanks for that everybody.
I knew that Stationary Engine Parts had acquired some NOS but I've not contacted them yet.
I will probably end up having some made by calling in a few favours!!

Thank you all very much.
Pete T at Uxbridge assures me that I haven't got a cat in hell's chance of getting new ones.
I've not measured them properly but it feels to be about 0.010" and I simply don't know how deep the case hardening is,if it is indeed case hardened.
Although I don't have a CS I do have an LD2 so I'll measure that rocker shaft in the morning.

Engines / 1934 JP2 Valve Rocker Shaft

I've only just discovered this site so this is my first posting.
For our sins we have a '34 JP2 in a boat on the River Soar in the UK.
It has just disgraced itself by blowing a head gasket after 15 years of quite hard usage so no complaints there, but while I'd gotten it stripped down I discovered the rocker shafts were very worn.
The JP2/CS18/2 from the pre war period, unlike the later JK/JS,did not have a positive oil feed to the rockers.
The problem is that this item is no longer available.
So the question is,Does anyone know what the composition/heat treatment is for a Lister rocker shaft so that I can get a couple made up.
The other alternative might be to utilise a CS shaft and re-bush the rockers,Does anyone happen to know the diameter and length of one of these as I don't happen to have one about at the moment.
