I would like to keep this thread alive.
I have a 12/1 that need a new base design.
I have some rubber feet that do a pretty good job
once the engine reaches speed
I am looking for the best mouse trap.
I like the I beams and I think the rubber feet would conplete the
package.

Looking for more info

Has anyone cleaned up the governer linkage?
I hope Dieselgman is in here.
I notice a LOT of slop in the linkage(right at the pump)
Has anyone reamed and put the proper link pins in ??
I see a lot of room for improvement. I saw one guy
put a spring in the set-up to take up the slop.
I was hoping for a more modern approch.

Any words of wisdon?

Thanks
Randy

Big Thanks to Dieselgman
After much looking it seems the fuel rack was not
opening enough on start-up.
A little manual push brought the smoking beast to life

Thanks again

I pulled the fitting and the spring out and
did not see anything wrong. I spun the engine over and got fuel.
then reassembled the spring and fitting.
Now no fuel is comming out of the fitting.

I took it apart and started again

Again no fuel

What's going on?????

question, what serpentine belt do you run
Do you use all the grooves?

The DT head runs CCW, do you put it in front or behind the engine?
