General Discussion / Identifying a diesel engine

I know this is way out there but i just remembered something.

A old British tv show The good life or The good neighbors

Couple in town go off grid and become self sufficient.

In the 3 or 4th episode  He is showing his neighbor his diesel gen set run off pig dropings i think ?

Any way I didn't recognize the engine and it runs very slow,  I wonder if any of yall knew or knew how to find out?

Thanks

I have seen gen heads that rate a diesel 1-3 hp better than a gas of this size?

I know there is more ump in the diesel.
But i googled this

Well Canada, but good prices for hi rpm diesels.
Isn't indirect better for bio fuels.

General Discussion / Re: Subaru EX21 charging coil / regulator rectifier

I am no expert  but since it did not come with electrics and it has charging coils go with the 15w.

My experience with dirt bikes says lots of system can be swamped. older motocross usually didn't have but did have the place for the coils, the enduros version did have coils since street legal, Some MXers and specialty bikes that had optional lights did have the extra coils in em.

So it depends on the options but since no electric start its kinda surprising it has any charging coils at all.

I will have to do some looking,  looks nice enough and not as big or plane as a tractor muffler yet bigger than a pepper can and suggests quieter too.

No pics of the insides?  Well the adapter on mine is different anyway.

Interesting muffler, Know what kind it is?

Gary

Ahh I just didn't use a comma.  Wouldn't happen to have 2 fans?
It would be a pain to get geared up to do castings.  And should it be angled?

Millman  I searched for you name and nothing cam up.

Yes the factory winpower head is a 1 bearing.

No specs but saw pic of same engine on a factory 120/240 genset @3600rpm?
This is referring to a 15hp diesel engine i am looking at buying

When a SR1 is equipped with a Delco starter, its a 10mt, like a Hyster fork lift. common car starter size.

The 25mt is a diesel starter common on all small to med 4cyl John Deere diesels and many other,  Over kill on this 6hp engine.

Look at the commutator end on my head, the aluminum fan on the end of the shaft 1/2 of the fan blades are broken off

This is needed for cooling. I didnt notice any on yours.
Its in the parts break down i sent.

I will  try to find/ make something. Don't need the gen head getting hotter than it has to.

Yea the Purolator. I would like to examine a spin on set up.
My parts book shows both but its unclear.

Been wondering how to tap in for a oil pressure gauge.
But thinking about a different by pass filter set up.
