Complete meter inside the battery charger look like this:

Meter's body was cut, front end missing, dial and winding is modified.

Second and only original A-meter look like this:

First I must remove little bit material, from the original meter's body

Heres come repair piece:

Repair piece fitting:

And here repair piece is complete and glued:

a little grinding for body:

And sandblasting:

Then missing front end making:

Here is second meters original end for sample:

Original meter end sandblasted:

And here come cast:
The original meter end give form.

And what we can found from mold after job:

cast piece is cleande:

Here is the meters body now:

I must still paint it, cut glass and repair the winding.

To be continue...

I've had a dig in the workshop and have found a batch of new gaskets, one has wrinkles but most are good and one is very new and bright copper.

All are genuine Lister, basically from spares of engines that I have acquired over the years and have now moved on.

Let me know if of any interest.

Bear in mind that these are probably copper asbestos build.

Hello,

I don't know now my friend's Lister CE engine head gasket measures, but here is little Youtube video for exactly the same engine.

Do you think that the gasket could fit to this engine?

Hello from Finland!

Here is my uncle's battery charger and one A-meter which is missing my Lister.

He promised Lister meter for me, if I can find another to replace this meter.

Unfortunately the meter has been little modified. Casing has been shortened and the front end is missing. Meter winding has been modified too.

I try restored A-meter look like original.  I'm going to cast a new front end, using a second A-meter's front end  as a model.

Original Lister Cs Engines / Re: Lister CS 3/1 oil dipper

Hello,

Thanks for the photos and measures, now I know what original dipper looks.

What happen if I turn dipper 90 degrees and drill oil hole center the dipper?

I have many 1920-1940's stationary engines and this Lister is my first old engin, where there is no oil hole in dipper.

Hello again!

My Lister run 20.9.2009 first time, after 16 years. Short video clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-yD_MkbAK4

I must first take cylinder and piston out. All pistonrings are jammed and oil ring was broken. I change all new genuine Lister pistonrings and injector nozzle is too genuine CAV. Lister start very easy by hand start, electric start not work yet, wires are loose.

Here some pictures.

Little bit smoke ;D

What is this part mission? When it works?

Next summer it will be start automatcally by electric.
Wiring diagram is still lost :-\

While I waiting injector, I must refurbisch electric parts, because engine is now my summer cottage. Full plant is so heavy, that I can't move yet on town. I have injector, switcboard and exhaustpipe with my home. I try determine switchboard and dynamo wiring, it is still mystery too..Fortunately I am electrician  ;D

Some day this Lister start still automatically, it is sure!
