Has anyone heard of an LP 60? There's a gent with two of them on a crate; he says they're 14 years old but never run. No starter flywheel housing. They also say Onan on the valve cover.

Original Lister Cs Engines / Air Filter Part Number?
« on: June 24, 2009, 03:12:33 AM »
I'm trying to find a new air filter for my Lister HB2. Does anyone have a part number? The filter's round, 8" wide and about 3 or 4" tall. Engine looks identical to the HA2.

Off the subject but I had to share this. A couple of weeks ago I found a Complete Mitsubishi 6DR5 power unit with 3 hrs on it for $500. It's been sitting on a shelf for 7 years. Inline 6, 85 hp @3000 rpm. Very quiet and smooth running engine. A little known fact is that this engine was offered as an option by Dodge in 1978 in their half ton pickup before the Cummins. Diesel powered Darts were exported.

Engines / I need some help
« on: May 13, 2009, 02:20:30 AM »
I have an air cooled engine with bryce berger pumps. There's a shaft going thru the pumps that move when a knob thats on the crankcase cover is pulled up. The shaft has to be manually moved back to the left while pulling up on the knob. What is the shaft for? How do I manipulate the shaft without removing the engine cover? I'm trying to start the engine. It's been sitting for a long time. I cleaned the system and have fresh fuel at the bleeders on the injection pumps. Any ideas? How is fuel turned on and shut off? How are the injection pumps driven?

Thanks

Engines / Lister HB - HA
« on: May 06, 2009, 03:42:27 AM »
I've began working on a HB twin. Does anyone know if parts are interchangeable with the HA model? The fuel system is filthy. I'm cleaning the lift pump, filter housing, and all of the lines. I'm impressed with the individual injector pumps and the copper lines. This engine design is well thought out. If she fires and runs good, would it be wise to replace the rings, bearings, and have the valves lapped? I hope to buy a CS engine as a primary and keep the HB as a back up.

Original Lister Cs Engines / Lister Found
« on: April 14, 2009, 03:47:54 PM »
Greetings, a friend was given a large air cooled original Lister engine yesterday. It says 26hp 2200rpm, serial #138 HB 219. It has a twin disc pto and compression releases on both cylinders. It was run last year but has been sitting since. Any info/parts available? Is this engine worth restoring?

Thanks!

Anthony
