« on: September 22, 2016, 07:37:52 AM »
gents,

i am building a PTO shaft to mount a pulley on my JP1 flywheel end.

the engine is in a rather awkward position for me to take the flywheel mounting dimension.

can anyone help me the 3 bolts PCD dimension and the flywheel step dimension to center the flange. all helps greatly appreciated.

guys, saw this interesting and low cost solution.

the alternator seems big to me. with the AC compressor; i suppose the 175 would probably max out.

truck was a local made. with a triplet axle on the trailer hook to a 4 x 2 prime mover, the driver proudly told me he gross 107 MT!

enjoy the picx;

Changfa Engines / Chinese Engine Bandwagon
« on: April 15, 2012, 08:55:21 AM »
got sufficiently poison and jump into the Chinese Engine bandwagon. the subject is a Yenben CF15 walk behind tractor with a JainDong 1110 engine and a rotary tiller.

after fueling and lube up, i hand cranked it and the first sign of serious trouble appear. there was heavy metal clanking noise internally. compression was good. doesnt sound like piston hitting valves. more like con rod bearing not properly fitted or a Lister CS having a loose gib key kind of trouble as there is strong surge forward motion follow by the noise. i dont know what is wrong but will definitely strip down engine later for examination.

the tractor come cheap though. about 1200 ex factory complete with rotary tiller. YenBen made millions of this annually and was the mainstay of rural Chinese agriculture machinery supplier. i bought this base on this fact. the engine come bone dry. it was not test run at the factory. there was no way to fill the lub oil unless the starter is removed by pouring into the dip stick hole. the engine is unnumbered. so is the fuel pump.

comparing to the LaiDong that i had supplied to John F, i have to say the LaiDong is a class above. will keep all updated as i progress.

« on: September 12, 2011, 06:16:53 AM »
Gentlemen,

would greatly appreciate if anyone could give the the mounting details of the flywheel extension shaft to mount a pulley. the flywheel has 6 mounting holes to accept this extension output shaft.

i need to machine a piece to mount a belt drive pulley as my Southern Cross water pump is running on the wrong rotation.

thank in anticipation.

Generators / Madwley 3KVA
« on: June 26, 2011, 07:57:59 AM »
my Mawdley is giving me 90 volt (instead of 220) on AC. i stripped it and found that 1 of the 4 DC brushes is worn and no longer seat on the commutator so this was a easy fixed. but i was pleasantly surprise by the additional 5 bands of held down windings on the rotor to keep it bomb proof.

this is really new to me and would like to share it with you gentlemen.

the stator was rewinded once some 30 odd years ago when it was zapped by a 25KVA unit someone forget the manual change over.

Everything else / Kew Hobby Pressure washer
« on: November 06, 2010, 01:38:04 PM »
Dear all,

i was given a Kew Hobby Pressure washer with messed up wiring. i dont seems to be able to sort things out and would like to seek forum members help.

this is a 240 volt unit. it has 6 wires coming out from the sealed motor.

i had figure out the followings

2 white leads which is the power supply leads with 0.6 ohms
1 brown lead which is the capacitor lead
2 more brown lead which is zero ohm. i believe this is the built in thermistor

i could not figure out the last brown lead. it could be a 240/110 volt select and how do i check this?

all helps big or small greatly appreciated.

i plan to restore it soon and shall keep all posted.
