Original Lister Cs Engines / Flywheel Grooves

Does anyone know, is there a specific side that the flywheel with belt grooves should be on?
I have 2 engines and they are different. My SOM has them on the same side as the intake and another with them on the exhaust side. I dont know the proper right and left. Are these balanced to be right or left, or are they interchangable? 

Also was a Lister engine ever painted maroon?

Listeroid Engines / Crank Straightness Tolerance

Hello to all,

I am trying to straighten my crankshaft and want to know what tolerance is acceptable. Before welding I had .002 TIR now I am at .010 and need to know what I need to straighten the crank to. Is the origional .002 even in spec.?

Looking for a little help
If the crank was suspended from two vee blocks, where would the gear teeth be at ? One at 12:00 or would there be a valley between the teeth at 12:00. With all the broken teeth issues could this be just another assembly error ? or bearing issues with precombustion. Thanks for the help.
