Red Stone Engines / I found Redstones for sale.
« on: August 29, 2022, 06:58:57 AM »
New old stock.  A new friend has found several engines that can be made available.

Three are spoken for.  Three are left.  All hand-cranked.

PM me, to make arrangements.

Leave your naysaying somewhere else, if you've a mind to comment.  This is for legitimately interested people.

Is this the right forum to post this in?

I have my heart set on a couple of different toys, and could use a little extra dough quick, if anyone is interested.

Hi all,

As suggested by another member, I wanted to open this thread to contain a list of "officially interested in this engine, can we find a good price" posts, and keep a running list.

So far, I have found these prices, from a friendly supplier.  I will find out more details about the engines, as asked.  This is as much a learning experience for me, as it is an unknown risk for you, so be patient.  I'm still figuring out what is really important, and taking stock of the shape of that market for engines.

I'll add 30% to these listed prices, to cover the ride over and the trip through the port.  I don't think that's unreasonable.  I'm not looking to make any money on this deal.  Amend the stated price of $220/ea. for R165Ms accordingly.

R165M: $156
electric start, indirect injection, evaporative cooling, unknown brand (have asked for specifics)

KM186: $675
electric start, injection type unknown (but will not vary), water pump cooling, Sanjia brand clone.  Laidong/Kama available from a different supplier, at potentially a higher price.

ZR185: $288
electric start, direct injection, radiator cooling, Sanjia brand clone.  I am probing suppliers to find branded engines, but some these may not be available.

(Ask for indirect injection and other configs, if interested)

Aluminum CNF173F (Yanmar clone): $177
recoil start, assume direct injection, unknown brand

(I was offered the CNF173F engines instead of the older-style cast-iron engines with the V-belt pulleys.  I like the older-style cast iron engines better, so I probably won't purchase any of these myself, from this supplier, but if anyone else is interested, here it is...)

xx190, xx195, R175NLM: Pricing and info asked for.

Red Stone Engines / From the Redstone engine manufacturer...

Dear tks for your response .The JSD1800 and JSD3200 are double flywheel engine, JSD3200 has been stopped a few years ago, JSD1800 has been not produced about 3-4 years, about our sd SERIAL ,the main market is Afghanistan ,but three years ago, the afghanistan market is stead of solar panel ,so the our single cylinder engine business is almost stopped, so, the engine part supplier factories also change the business too, so it makes the supply problem .if you are interesting, i think you can think of LD serial engine, its supply normally some, but i do not know if your way, mentioned air compressor is ok or not when clear the Customs.

Changfa Engines / Gauging interest... Wanna buy an "air compressor"?
« on: April 05, 2022, 04:00:33 PM »
I am talking to a couple of companies in China, and I think I have one of them sweet-talked into going on a little adventure with me.

I will fund the prototype and initial small production run of air compressor parts for their engines, and try to arrange to import air compressors.  They will need to build air compressors for me, and pack them with the proper accessory kit.

What I want to know is, is there anyone still interested in buying Chinese air compressors?

I recently imported a couple of Laidong LD1115s that I will tinker with.  One will be diesel-powered, and run my off-grid farm generator/inverter-generator.  The other will probably be fitted with a spark plug and taught to huff wood gas.  Maybe that turns into another kit some day.

I would be willing to set up a business, get all legal, and set up escrow accounts for pre-orders.  After we hit a certain threshold, we can order a container load of air compressors.  The old "Redstone" air compressors are still available, but they would have to be purchased a container-load at a time.
