Other Slow Speed Diesels / Re: More Changfas on Ebay

I could drive down to his place and pick one up!  ;D

Torn between geting a Listeroid or a Changfa at this point. I like the idea of the quiter runing Lister, but the lower initial price and more of a "tunrkey" status also makes the Changfa very appealing....

I know it's them trying to sell their wares and all, but if you go view the slidewhows over @ the Field Marshall website, their factory appears to be just a wee bit more 20th century than the one shown in the beginning of this thread.  :P

Did you buy the 24/2 directly from Power Anand?

Well, I ain't got room to park no 30-footer on my property. I reckon I need to think this through a little more.

I see a lot of engine bases mounted on casters. I wouldn't be above a setup like that either.

Would it be possible to mount a 12/2 or 16/2 and an ST head onto one of these?

I don't intend to live in this same place forever. Therefore I would like the rig to be semi-portable at the very least.

Listeroid Engines / Re: Where can I get a 6/1 or 8/1 in Michigan

I am also new to this forum and also in Michigan. I am also contemplating the acuisition of an engine from Trygve Norvold, smiply because I could go pick it up from him in person. I think I would like to get a 12/2 or 16/2 and either a 10 or 15kw ST head. Don't think I want to go 100% Off Grid, but I would like to use it for backup power as well as "peak shaving" during the dog days of summer when the central A/C is running.  ;D

Don't s'pose anyone near me has a twin that I could invite myself over to check out?  8)
