Other Slow Speed Diesels / german designed changfa ?
« on: October 20, 2007, 05:09:47 AM »
for those of you who doubt the design origins of the yanmar changfa etc. look at the november  2007 issue of stationary engine magazine out of england  (i pick up a copy at tsc)  has a article on engines in syria with a  photo of a jenbach  austrian built engine from the 1950's that favors a chanfa  caption states that a lot of these are still in use becuse they are easy to use and maintain and that this one has been pumping water  daily for several decades also has lots of pictures of british engines  and as well as a listeroid  and petter copy.   olice in texas

what if guy left the group again? less foul language, arguments, name calling,  endless spewing of useless foul mouthed stories and once upon a times. huh, i would not miss it.  this kind of stuff follows him  anywhere he goes and he does this on every forum he logs onto. he's just looking a argument,  so  how about some useful info. from rational sober people  instead.   olice  in texas

Other Slow Speed Diesels / Re: Princess Auto finally has Chinese diesels
« on: September 15, 2007, 01:14:27 AM »
just a note on these chinese clones, today i purchased a couple of junk generators from a construction company , one runs and the other is missing some parts they are the 10hp yanmar copy with a 5kw gen  i bought them for scrap price so i wasnt worried if they worked out or not. The owner told me he had purchased 9 of them for about a thousand dollars each 900 and some change anyway he said they are not any good, engine problems and genny problems too! He said they ran them but they were so troublesome that he pulled them all from his trucks. I thought they probally had hundreds or thousands of hours on them and couldnt  stand the daily use so I looked at the engine hour meters and to my surprise one said 37 and the other 54 so I guess you get what you pay for  it  sounds like the indians arent the only ones with quality control problems.

Other Slow Speed Diesels / Re: changfa 195 starter
« on: July 29, 2007, 02:18:04 AM »
been to the kubota dealer if there is a comparable starter they dont know of it.  there are probally several engines of this similiar design  japanese,  chinese and probally a similiar but not identical german deutz  and all  changed or modified alittle , so again back to the original request,  surely there is someone with a asian contact.                                                                                                                                                       i work with a guy who went to pakistan 2 years ago  in a very remote area to build small quonset hut style shelters because all of the permanent housing had pancake collapsed in a earthquake and winter was coming and all they had were tents anyway he saw these engines being carried in the mountains several days walk from the nearest jeep trail, he saw a fellow hand crank the engine by the belt  that powered a bandsaw the villagers hand got caught between the belt and the  pulley and cut off a finger  so the moral of this story is lets all pull together and find a  cheap starter replacement so we can save fingers all around the world.  "ten fingers olice" in texas

tried three  starter rebuild shops they all say hey this is  in chinese! we dont read no chinese.  whats this on? a what? even tried to get my local chinaman drycleaner  to translate still no luck,  next stop is one of the china tractor dealers maybe a chance  we need someone from the orient to help us i know there are  thousands of these things and this is probally a  common starter  if we can just figure it out.   from what i have seen i dont think anything kubota is going to be close  and if it was you could probally have a gold one made in china for the same price as the kubota dealer so  still looking for engines  and parts in texas olice

Listeroid Engines / Re: need listeroid in texas

i will try the folks in oklahoma, the dallas guy just does not seem to be a upfront kind of  businessman, i cant see him lasting anyway.  If i have to I will try to find a chinese diesel or  a older antique engine fairbanks ,stover, witte or a krueger atlas. The affordable oilfield engines are getting harder and harder to find  even in  west  texas  maybe i will hunt something up, they have about disappeared from east texas.  Still looking in texas olice

i am near dallas and looking for a lister or chagfa  in texas also looking for a oil expeller press,  lots of folks talking  but not doing in  texas.  i am also willing to travel  some  to look at a lister or any good stationary engine.   generatordepot  in dallas has sold them but they are  not full time  they sell  generators on ebay and i seem to have trouble contacting them.   looks like freight cost will add 500-600 dollars to cost.   anyway still looking in texas,
                                                                                      j.o.

hello all,
two very interesting articles in the december 2006 Statioary Engine Magazine, one on the iran lister factory and its fate after the iranian revolution and another article on a  c/s 6/1 original lister startomatic rebuild restoration. for those who are not familiar with this magazine it is a english  magazine for antique stationary engine enthusiasts  check them out at  www.stationaryengine.com  or buy a copy  your  local tractor supply store.
Still looking for listeroids or any old engines in texas, i collect the old  hit and miss engines.  always looking for more  engines or windmill parts .
