Nice work. That will be a great generator to have..
I have a question on this comment you made to cujet. As I am trying to get into solar as well. And have my 12/2 clone as a battery charger in addition to pv panels...

''Lithium iron batteries are still very expensive and I`m not happy to have them under our house as they have a very bad habit of catching fire and they are almost impossible to extinguish once alight''.

Did you mistake Lithium ion batteries for Lithium iron phosphate (Lifepo4) batteries ?

Lithium ion batteries are the ones that can run away and cause a fire.. And are the type that are in alot of everyday tools, phones etc etc.. Not nearly as stable.

Lithium iron phosphate Aka Lifepo4 is the newer technology that is being used in EV vehicles and is now about the best choice for solar home storage. Much safer than lithium ion.

With all the reading I have done here, BruceM would be the guy to ask info and possibly a manual on these gen heads. Hopefully he will see your post.

Good find.. Wish I could find one. I know they are out there.. Here are a couple of S1115 engine manuals. Close to what you have. Bore diameter is the biggest difference I think?  But I have not found a specific Engine/generator manual for your setup.

Looks like they make quality paints.. They may be selling it as a ready to spray gallon. It says .68 gallon on the label.

Looks like there is about 3 quarts in that can.? Add another Quart of activator and it is supposed to be a gallon.. According to there website TDS , a gallon of this paint weighs 12.7 lbs. Weigh it up do the math and see if they shorted by how much..

This all assumes I am even looking at the right paint. They got a different (screwy) way of identifying their paint lines and systems.. But it looks nice.

Very nice find.. What type of paint is it? Acrylic enamel with activator? Urethane with activator?
Alkyld enamel? (oil based) yuck.

I should also say that if you are building a show type engine for people to look at.. You can use any chemistry type paint you want I imagine.. You gonna build a runner that you spent alot of time and money on cheaping out on paint seems wrong imho.. I am sure it will look great..

What is between the spoked flywheel and the regular iron flat pulley? Is it another flat pulley? Is it made from wood?  I guess if it was wood it would not be there for extra weight.. Also the wheels for the trolley, are they handmade?  Again what a nice job you did there.. Amazing detail to everything.

You are a true craftsman for sure. Basically hand made bearings, resizing everything to better than new specs. Enjoy looking at your cylinder head work.. I hope the Amish appreciate the talent and effort that you put into one of these engines. And treat them better on their new second lives.

If shipping was not so expensive, my cylinder heads would have been sent to you a year ago for some magic to be done on the seats and guides. Yes I could probably find a decent shop to perform this work, but I would always wonder in the back of my head if it was truly done correct, and given the little bit of extra care to know it was done right..

The cylinder heads on my 12/2 are the last thing really holding me back on finishing this engine.. I already bought the replacement valve guides and correct qualcast seats...

Keep showing us the great work you do on these old but unforgotten engines.

Scroll about half way down the page. If they wont ship the paint ask them to supply a sprayout. May cost you some.

Stationary engine parts has light, medium and dark shade of mid brunswick green in either spray cans, pints and quarts. and ships to usa..

You would have to ask if The pint and quart size can be mixed with a catalyst, (hardener) as I think the spray can is just regular enamel paint.. Might be lots of people use spray can paint.. But is garbage imho.. Use a paint where you mix it with hardener and reducer and put it in a spray gun and shoot it.
Will last 20 years instead of a couple.
A top collision body shop might be able to mix your paint code as the code tells what and how much of the pigments to use. If they have a complete paint base system they should be able to mix it again if 381c tells them in the book what weight of differnt color pigments to put in the mix,
