Hello Steve,

I used vinegar in the bore to unseize my CS 6/1, just leave for a few days, might be worth a try.

Good luck on the project.

Hello cwood3,

I'm new to this forum as well and am lucky enough to have a CS 6/1, all i can say is keep a good lookout on ebay. This forum is great as well for info.

Happy hunting!

Hello Westcoaster,

On my old cs lister i removed the injector and then poured in a mugfull of vinegar and left for a week. Worked a treat.

Original Lister Cs Engines / Red Oxide Primer
« on: February 05, 2010, 04:55:53 PM »
Hello All,

Having looked on stationaryengineparts for mid brunswick green, and reading that the recommended primer is the grey primer that they also sell, Would red oxide primer

also be suitable? As i already have some in the workshop. I don't want to prime the old girl and then find that the top enamel coat reacts with the red oxide!

Cheers,

George

Thanks Scot R,

I've tested it now and it does take well over 90bar without any leaks, but i think for peace of mind i'll order a replacement, It's just a pity - i hope it was'nt my

efforts at removal that cracked it.

Anyone want a paperweight?

Thanks guys, did you take a look at the pic of the nozzle holder crack? will this be the end of the injector? i looked up on stationaryengineparts and a new bosch injector was about 58 quid.
