Lister Based Generators / Re: Grid tied inverter driven directly from generator

Wow an old post all is quiet.
Guyd whats the system you are using.
I am also in the UK and have a lister genset which is isolated from the grid when i use it. i.e knock 2 main breakers out before i run up the lister.
I am getting fed up with this and just wanted to grid tie the lister to the house. I am not bothered about net metering as I can use what i produce but I will still need G83 grid tie.
is there a system that can collect the 240v from the genset and sync it to the grid or do I rectify it to DC and use that in a standard inverter OR lastly use a good quality 24v charger plugged into the 240 v and connect that to the GTI. Lots of losses though and wasteful.
Any ideas?
