Here we go !
I am on the east coast of Florida.
Looked like is was going to stay west of us until yesterday. Now it has moved
east and looks like it will be just north of me. I'm near Melbourne.
Got my Coleman stuff ready. I started collecting years ago so I'm well stocked
with lanterns, stoves and fuel !
Got my generators staged and ready. I have 4 diesel gen sets, so good there.
I know members just south of me.
Stay safe and take cover !

Best of luck yourself, or is it a case of the more prepared one is, the more luck you'll have. Sounds like you are well prepared and will be running your butte off helping out the neighbours.

Power may be disrupted for several days. Water is the big concern. High storm surge and much rain predicted.
This is why we prepare in advance.

Hope everyone survived the storm in good shape. Just saw this post from Florida Piwer and Light and thought I'd share it. They are saying parts of the grid need to be rebuilt, not restored, and power could be out for an extended period. Hang in there folks!

How much fuel do you keep around for the iron beasts?

I use my Changfa 1115 clone with the ST 15KW head most of the time when I need a genny.
It does not use much fuel....
I usually have 20 gallons or so on hand because both of my tractors are diesel. I think one holds about
6 gallons and the other 12 or 15.
When storms are near I have everything full as well as my backup 5 gal cans.
I have several generators but have never HAD to use them except for the Changfa clone.
If I were to add everything up it would be about 40 gallons or so. (that's with all tanks full)
I don't ever remember using more than 5 or 6 gallons when we loose power. The longest we have
been without power has been 5 days that I remember.
The local power company is usually pretty good about getting us back on line.
I don't know if that answers your question but it's all I got !

Yes it does, I was just curious. Also, package came yesterday. Will do some test fitting this weekend!

I just could not live in an area that you know gets hit with severe storms/hurricanes. If I did I would get out of town before they got close, but thats me.
