Back on Ebay are the slant cylinder 165F air-cooled diesels. I always liked the looks of that design. Hint, if you have interest don't pay the asking price. I saved the ad in my watch list and soon I had a reduced price buy it now offer.

I have a couple of those.
Built like a Tank.
All cast iron, no aluminum.
They are heavy also.

Indirect injection.
Very tough little critters.

I have a couple. The only problem with them is like all china engines they are mechanically noisy enough to wake the dead.

The 165F came today less than 3 full days from date of older. Must be best quality because it came with a gold striped tag that says so. I was disappointed that it doesn't have metal flake paint and chrome muffler but I will get over it ;D :D. Started right up after bleeding the pump and makes enough noise to wake the dead. When I have time to play with it I am going to back down the pump advance and see what that does. It is MUCH louder than the 196CC engine I bought last month. Came with an entailed manual, unfortunately one must know Chinese to read it. Also came with two tools that fit nothing on the engine.

Cool. They sent you a spark-plug spanner

What, no feeler guage for the points setting? ;D

Come on Butch, one wrench is to remove spark plug, and other withdraw pulley! ;D

The spanner is to remove the flywheel nut.
What you guys call the "spark plug socket" is used for con rod nuts and other internal fasteners.
Please report back when you adjust the IP timing.
I am interested to know how it effects the ignition knock and noise levels.
That CERTIFICATE OF QUALITY is amazing ! only 27,000,000 engines per year get that esteemed label, you are lucky to get one. Mine did not have such a label.
-
Veg,, the flywheel tool doesn't fit the nut,, too small.
-
i got one in '07 in a drawing
it didn't come with a certificate of quality either!

Gentles... Veggi,
If you want I can send you one quality label (I got a chinese grossery by home) and they can request it from their relatives at China. ;D ;D ;D ;D
I was jocking about spanners! they only send something spare to be pleasent. they are not ment to feet anywhere! Its just a plus because they know we apreciate it in the west. ;D ;D ;D (Japanese are another kind of talk)
Dont bother, just tweek it and sqwise it.
Give it hard Butch!
