Title: seeking assistance about SR 115
Post by: Bill Griffiths on July 20, 2020, 11:40:11 PM
I am an absolute newcomer and would appreciate some guidance.
The Lister engine I seek information on is described as  10762 SR 115 marked 6.5 HP @ 2000. I would like to keep it (or return it) as it left the factory.
It is painted grey, from what I have read to date perhaps cement grey, and the same colour is under one of the plates which I have removed.
There is however something special about Mid Brunswick Green, almost special enough perhaps to ignore originality?
And that is my present dilemma..although many I expect may follow!
Any advice as to its likely original livery would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Bill

Hi SnowMan, and Bill

Its just a SR1, dated of 1965.

Grey color, yellow color, blue color was "used" by customer request, usualy with a large order of units, to put in cement mixer and other machines. Blue used to be for marine propulsion.

By default factory painted MBG.

Bill, if it was grey from factory let it keep his face.
