G'day Folks- I haven't progressed with renovating my 3/1 since I joined about four years ago, but that's not why I came today....
I couldn't find a more likely category for this so hope here's ok.......
I saw this engine at a static display a few weeks ago and the only identifying traces is 'The Lister' cast onto it, as per pics.
I've had a hunt on the general webs but can't find anything the same, does anyone have any idea...?
It's the same basic setup as a CS 3/1 6/1 my limited knowledge tells me it's just an earlier version, but couldn't find any other ID marks or casting numbers or anything
Thanks in advance, duTch

Might be L or R petrol...

Thanks Oiler, I hadn't even considered it may run on petrol given it looks so much like my diesel one....and I saw no signs of any ignition source. :-\

Looks like Lister R
As Oiler mentioned could be R or L. Both were petrol with a magneto.
A rare model!

It looks too big to be an "L", which would most likely make it an "R" - a very rare beast indeed.

Hey thanks guys, that's good information.
I'll try and track the owner down and make sure he's aware of what he has
