Hi Guys, I am not a big fan of politics or politicians or the awful anti indigenous/racial equality laws they have passed. I fully support this seller`s right to sell, or not sell, his possessions to who ever he chooses. I do not believe in racism in any form at all, and try my best to judge others, equally, based on their character and proclivities. I can think of nothing worse than a society in which I could be compelled to sell something that I own to someone I do not like. If I don`t like someone, that is now going to be classed as racism/sexism/?????phobia? How dare they! If you don`t like my old fashioned rules at least have the guts to come and see me to discus it, don`t just pass anti hate laws that make me a criminal!

I think and hope  that most of the people on this forum still live in countries with democratically elected governments and I have always respected that concept. There are some people who do not accept that principle and will try to thwart the will of the majority of people by challenging freedom of expression and thought and deny me my right to chose who I like and who I don`t.

One of the primary reasons for my leaving the UK and emigrating to Australia was that I no longer recognized the country I grew up in. Parts of London and the UK have become  ghettos filled with various ethnic minority groups with far more rights than the traditional indigenous population.  There is  an ongoing sh1t storm about what to do with the returning UK citizens who went to fight with Isis in Syria. These people voluntarily went to a foreign country to kill infidels. To them I am an infidel! Yet they believe they have the right to return to and live in the UK, where the indigenous population are expected to welcome them with open arms and give them housing and welfare benefits! These idiots then have the gall to complain if I don`t like them and choose not to sell any of my belongings to them!

I hope and believe that we are seeing the end of liberalism. The election of Donald Trump was probably the first evidence of ordinary people saying we have had enough of this BS. The vote for Brexit in the UK has shaken Europe to it`s foundations and it looks like the idea of a federal Europe run by socialists is about to collapse.

Martin luther King had a dream in which all people were treated equally, regardless of colour. He went on to say that they should be judged by the quality of their character and the sum of their achievements. As far as I know he was never exposed to the sort of 1984 Orwelian nightmare we now have to put up with. I wonder what he would have to say today?

Leave the guy alone and let him get on with it.

Bob

WOW!  How these style of discussions strike me.

Liking or not liking someone has little to do with racism.  Individuals not not liking groups is also a personal choice but seems to have a funny odor about it.  Requiring people to support public programs and then preventing them from using those mandatory programs is a problem.  If you're going to use government facilities that are paid for by all groups and yet some of those groups can't use them then we have a problem.  It is one of the pillars of racism.

It's kind of like saying racist not welcome here, especially you white b$&%@*ds.  Or Help Wanted unless you're of Irish descent.  These are right next door to "Those of African ancestry should rethink being in town whilst the sun resides below the horizon to the West.  One of my favorite quotes is from Groucho Marx: "I wouldn't join a club that had standards so low they'd accept me."  We have zero tolerance - Especially of zero tolerance.

I just spent a week in Arizona.  Very different place from what I'm used to.  They have residential developments that are measured in kilometers.  All, and I mean ALL, of the houses or condo units are light brown stucco.  Radicals paint some of the trim or borders a darker brown (not blue or red or .......) but brown.  All of the doors are the same color and I suspect have the same door handles.  Land of the free.  The greatest freedom of all - Freedom from Choice.  Private Enterprise at its best.  And then I watched the latest rendition of "Fahrenheit 451" on the plane ride home.  Neat vacation.

May Heaven smile upon you lad.  A reply in less than one line.  I'm thinking this is a personal BEST!  I knew you had it in You.

Most of what I write is for fun.  We are not going to save the world or culture on this blog or any blog I've ever seen.  Occasionally some "Food For Thought" sneaks in.  This thread is about the possibly most destructive force in the US.  170 years ago one set of states went to war with the rest of the states, AKA The Union.  Estimates as high as 750,000 of just soldiers are pretty much accepted as valid today.  That's really eye opening when you consider that there were about 30,000,000 people as total population or about 1/10 of the population of today.  It would be like 7,500,000 US soldiers dying in a war today.  Listen to all the poop you want it really boiled down to the states rights to buy and sell people.  Actually these states were offered status quo but they declared war for the ability to bring new states in as slavery is OK states.

Helping others is really important.  Whether that's helping them and their children breath clean air and drink clean water or having the right to vote upon their own destiny.  Helping others is important.

And for "This guy would be fun to deal with".  Unhappiness is a contagious disease.  I'm very careful when playing with overtly unhappy people.

Chickens will peck to death any bird that is "different".  Sadly, this common feature of many of our planet's animal life wetware (brains) is also present in primates, which we are.  In chimps, groups of over about 50 become impossible, they split and fight (and murder) the other group over food, water, territory, or just about anything. All too human.

Facist leaders and politicians  often manipulate this innate response to gain power and control;  blaming some minority group activates the "chicken brain" response.  It is a well proven manipulation that is highly effective.

This particular unfortunate vestige of our brains evolution may very well lead to our species's demise.

"Different" people make us all uncomfortable at best, and often fearful/violent.  It is response that is more basic and powerful than reason.  We need to strive to overcome this response if we are to survive as a species as we possess the power to destroy ourselves.  There is not one race of humans that does not have both assholes and some exceptionally wonderful individuals and I suspect we have all been both at one time or another.  We are all of the same flawed design.

It would be so nice if they taught the real reasons behind that war. There was so much more too it. But I digress. Everyone just wants to boil it down to one issue. Oddly enough it is the one that that is most divisive, go figure.

OK chaps - this is one of those discussions which, sad to say, has the potential to dump this forum in trouble... I don't know, TBH, if we're governed by US or UK laws (ownership is US, hosted in the UK), but if the UK law has anything to say about it, they can get pretty nasty over racist stuff. I don't need that kind of shit in my life, so I'm going to lock this thread, but not delete it (unless I get enough valid complaints, or if any law enforcement make moves...)  We're pretty far off the radar here (we're no Facebook), but it only takes one stupid complaint to cause a boatload of trouble.

Sorry chaps, that's just the way it is. Almost any other subject is fair game.
