Title: ST HEAD question
Post by: 32 coupe on September 13, 2015, 05:01:47 PM
I purchased a new 7.5 kw head and it has the dreaded
imbalanced load noise.

I remember reading links about somesort of coating you guys
use on the inside to protect the "guts". Seems like I remember
reading it will help the balance noise. Gryptal .....is that it ?

Maybe a link to to method ?

Thanks for your time,
Gary

There are several commonly available insulating varnish/epoxy coatings used for the purpose... Glyptol is one of many. Take a look in McMaster Carr for their product, we often use them for the supply.

I've not heard of red electrical varnish curing the imbalanced load noise problem.

Bruce,
Mine has a noise like loose or vibrating metal laminations.
Found and ordered Glyptol ....I'll see if that fixes the noise.
