Title: Lister ID
Post by: billriches on May 13, 2006, 09:23:59 PM
Was in Lancaster PA and saw a neat Lister running an overhead shaft in a harness shop.  Its model was 512VA 19.  Where can I find out some info on this engine?  Regards, Bill

Look at the previous thread for the VA engine.

The VA was an air-cooled variant of the 8/1 engine, and was sold up until the 1970's to middle-east countries where water-cooling was not viable.

Spares are OK for the bottom end which is the same as the other CS engines, but the barrel, head, piston etc etc is different.

512 is the serial number
VA is the type
19 is the year of manufacture - 1969
