Title: Onan aggregate
Post by: ranexs on May 05, 2007, 09:56:35 PM
My friend has got an ONAN aggregate 2,8KV-FA / 26100A. 120V
Should have an start operation in gen. Four empty leads coming out.
Is there an thumb rule of lead-colours in it, or how to test without burning it.
Is there also 12V included?

Anyone, no dogs buried.
Don't know how, but the generator has found it way to us in Europe and is unknown to us.
We have understood that there is electric start included and are fried that we burn the gen if we begins to use guess and see method.

I got your message but I can't tell much from the picture you posted. I'm realy only familiar with the CK, CCK and DJ series. If it doesn't say Studibaker on it I'm afriad I am not much help.

My Chum Pekka can translate if you can't find the proper words in English. I'll try and get him over to look at the site you posted your pictures on. I can't tell much from the picture

Well, I assume that the thick wire is + for start and - is via ground.
In 1-phase, in here, blue is 0, WG is ground and hot is black.
What colour is used there for these purpose's?

Ranexs:

In the USA, for single phase the hot wire is black and the neutral ("0") is white.

Brown and Blue are line and neutral and Eroupe Blue is a phase in Canada. This is where thinmgs can get confusing.
