Tell me, oh master of vegetable oils:
Do you check the pH of your oil? What kind of filter do you use? I keep seeing that 5 micron filters are ideal, and I'm guessing that makes for slow processing.

Any one know the viability of hemp seed oil?

I was going to ask what kind of hydrometer you used, but then read your last post.
I have several brewing hydrometers if they are usable would you be interisted in one?
What temp do you think the oil needs to be for an acurate reading? All my oil now is sludge.

Hydrometers are handy, but if all you're looking for is density, an accurate scale used on an accurate volume at a specified temperature will get you the same information. For example, I use my battery electrolyte hydrometer for a quick check of status. But if I really want good data, my triple pan balance comes out, along with a calibrated flask. I found it interesting that the hydrometer had both accuracy and repeatability problems.
I figure many of you will have (or have access to) a decent scale.
